Opportunities for innovation and employment generation should be provided through village industry – Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ujjwal Kumar
Lucknow: A workshop on the topic “Organic Agriculture Based Agricultural Entrepreneurship and Self-Employment from Village Industry” was organized in the auditorium of the headquarters of Uttar Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board.
Chief Executive Officer, Uttar Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board Dr. Ujjwal Kumar directed the concerned officers to coordinate with NABARD, CIMAP, NBRI and Horticulture Department etc. on priority basis on the important points raised in the workshop and provide opportunities for innovation and employment generation through village industry.
In this workshop, Padmashree Dr. Bharat Bhushan Tyagi gave detailed information on the important role of Khadi Village Industries Board in establishing organic agriculture based entrepreneurship in rural areas. In the workshop, P.S. Ojha, former State Advisor, Organic Energy Advisory Board spoke on cooperatives and FPO. The immense possibilities of employment generation through village industries were highlighted. Along with this, scientists and officers from CIMAP, NABARD, Horticulture Department and NBRI also shared valuable information.
Principals of Khadi Board’s Divisional Village Industries Training Centers, Regional Village Industries Officers and officers of Khadi Board Headquarters were present in this workshop.
